Artisans turn laminated wooden blanks smooth, seal them, then hand-gild with delicate sheets of 24-karat-look leaf for a warm, even glow. - Sand-cast brass rococo rim – Gujranwala, Pakistan
Molten brass is poured into sand moulds to form scrolling borders; each casting is filed, polished and brazed seamlessly around the plate. - Leaf-vein chasing & final burnish – Karachi, Pakistan
Metal chasers incise shallow veins into every scroll, then burnish and lacquer the brass until highlights dance with the light—proof it’s truly handmade.
- Wipe & buff dry right after serving—no soaking.
- Hand-wash in warm, mild suds; skip abrasives and harsh chemicals.
